To avoid any difficulty, be sure that each application has previously been launched before you migrate a profile that includes application settings. 4.2 SOCKs and peer-to-peer migration If SOCKS is enabled on either the source or target system, it might interfere with a peer-to-peer migration. Disable SOCKS before beginning a peer-to-peer migration. 4.3 Windows Firewall on Windows XP SP2 and peer-to-peer migration If Windows XP SP2 is applied on either the source or target system, Windows Firewall may interfare with a peer-to-peer migration. When Windows Security Alart dialog pops up during migration, press "Unblock" button to allow SMA for peer-to-peer migration. 5.0 SUPPORT WEB SITES The following Web pages provide resources for understanding, using, and troubleshooting SMA and and other ThinkVantage(TM) Technologies software: o IBM System Migration Assistant home page http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-50889 Use this Web page to learn more about SMA and its features. o IBM Personal Computing Support - ThinkVantage Technologies - page http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=TVAN-START Use this Web page to find information about IBM ThinkVantage(TM) Technologies o IBM Personal Computing Support page http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/ Use this Web page to access the IBM Personal Computing Support Web site. 6.0 NOTICES INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORPORATION PROVIDES THIS PUBLICATION "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF NON-INFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
