Installation Readme


This package installs an updated version of the Microsoft Windows
2000 and XP device driver for the following Intel(R) video chipsets:

Intel(R) 845G Chipset
Intel(R) 845GL Chipset
Intel(R) 865G Chipset
Intel(R) 845GE Chipset
Intel(R) 845GV Chipset
Grantsdale-GL Chipset
Grantsdale-GV Chipset
Grantsdale-G Chipset


This package applies to the following systems:

This update requires approximately 22MB of space on your hard drive.

Print this file so that you can refer to it during the installation.


Downloading the update
----------------------
1. Click the file link to download the file from the Web page.
2. When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save
   the downloaded file.


Extracting the update
---------------------
1.  Click Start, select Find or Search, then click Files and folders.
2.  Type e49z71usa.exe in the search field, then click Find Now.
    This will locate the file you just downloaded. 
3.  Double-click the e49z71usa.exe icon.
4.  Click Next. Read the license agreement.
5.  Click I accept the terms in the license agreement.
6.  Click Next.
7.  Ensure that "Save files in folder" is set to
    C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\E49Z71US.
8.  Click Next. The necessary files will be extracted to your hard
    drive.
9.  Click Finish.

Installing the update
---------------------
1.  Click Start, then click Run.
2.  Type C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS\E49Z71US\Setup.exe, then click OK.
    The setup program will run.
3.  Follow all onscreen prompts and reboot your system when done.
