With previous drivers, Broadcom ethernet has problem transmitting data with systems with more than 4GB RAM. Enhancements added to the driver link timer and autonegotiation mechanism to prevent the adapter from intermittently dropping from network connection during a system reboot or during an adapter disable / enable event. Proper programming of GPIO2 to not allow the adapter to draw power from VAux during device initialization, to prevent the adapter from being removed from the PCI Bus. For more change details, read the release.txt file that comes with each driver, in this package. 3.0 Build and Installation Instructions _________________________________________ Refer to the guide and help files that come with the 7.0.5 CD.
