nVidia Quadro2 EX video BIOS update for IBM(R) IntelliStation(R) 6204 and 6214 systems for IBM(R) NetVista(R) 2273, 2292, 6043, 6343, 6349, 6350, 6790, 6791, 6792, 6793, 6794, 6795, 6822, 6823, and 6825 systems version 3.11.01.50.34 Installation README This package updates the video BIOS on IBM(R) IntelliStation(R) 6204 and 6214 systems as well as IBM NetVista(R) 2273, 2292, 6043, 6343, 6349, 6350, 6790, 6791, 6792, 6793, 6794, 6795, 6822, 6823, and 6825 systems. Print this file so that you can refer to it during the installation. Downloading the update ---------------------- 1. Click the file link to download the file from the web page. 2. When prompted, select a drive and directory in which to save the downloaded file. Extracting the update --------------------- Installing this update involves creating a flash diskette and running the flash program from the diskette. Before you begin, have a blank 1.44 MB diskette ready. 1. Click Start, select Find or Search, then click Files and Folders. 2. Insert a blank 1.44MB floppy diskette into the diskette drive. 3. Type ea2t04a.exe in the search field, then click Find Now. This will locate the ea2t04a.exe file you just downloaded. 4. Double-click the ea2t04a.exe icon. 5. Follow the onscreen prompts. The necessary files will be extracted to the diskette. Installing the update --------------------- 1. Close all open applications. 2. Leave the diskette in the A: drive, and shut down and restart the system to start the flash program. 3. Wait until you see a message stating *********************************************************************** * The Quadro2 EX video BIOS has been updated to version: * * * * 03.11.01.50.34 * * * * Please remove diskette from the "A" drive and re-boot your system. * *********************************************************************** 4. If an error stating "ERROR: PCI device ID, vendor ID mismatch" appears, it likely means that your system does not use the video adapter this update was meant for. Remove the diskette from the diskette drive. 5. Shut down and restart the system.
