WHAT THIS PACKAGE DOES
----------------------
This package provides the Wireless LAN driver to enable the following
Wireless LAN adapters.

  - Intel PRO/Wireless 3945BG Network Connection
  - Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection
  - Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection
  - Intel PRO/Wireless 2915ABG Network Connection

Refer to marketing materials to find out what ThinkPad models support
which adapter cards.

The following systems are supported:
 - ThinkPad R50, R50e, R51, R51e, R52, R60, R60e
 - ThinkPad T41, T41p, T42, T42p, T43, T43p, T60, T60p
 - ThinkPad X40, X41, X41 Tablet, X60, X60s, X60 Tablet
 - ThinkPad Z60m, Z60t, Z61e, Z61m, Z61p, Z61t

Notes: 
1. This program is language independent and can be used with 
any language system.
2. If you use ThinkVantage Access Connections;
   a. Install ThinkVantage Access Connections version 4.3 or higher.
   b. Before installing ThinkVantage Access Connections, it is
      required to install the following software.
      - Lenovo System Interface Driver for Windows Vista
          version 1.00.0610 or higher
      - ThinkPad Power Management Driver
          version 1.41 or higher
      - ThinkPad Hotkey Features
          version 2.00.0611 or higher

3. You may need to re-enter security information after updating the
   Wireless LAN driver.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Notes:
- If your computer runs satisfactorily now, it may not be necessary to
  update the software. To determine if you should update the software,
  refer to the "Determining which version is installed" section.
- To determine if you should update the software, refer to the
  "Summary of Changes" section.


  There are following ways for installation.
  (A) Automatic install
  (B) Manual install
  (C) Unattended install


(A) Automatic Install
    Use ThinkVantage System Update or Software Installer.
    ThinkVantage System Update or Software Installer will check
    both the installed program on your ThinkPad and our Web site. Then
    download and update the program automatically if a newer version
    is available.
    Refer to the ThinkVantage System Update or Software Installer
    package for details.

(B) Manual Install
    Refer to the Manual Install section.

(C) Unattended Install
    Refer to the Unattended Install section.


MANUAL INSTALL
--------------
 1. Start Windows Vista and logon with administrative privileges.
 2. Double-click the driver package to extract it to your hard drive.
 3. Click Start, select All Programs, select Accessories, then 
    click Run...
 4. Specify IPRODIFX.EXE with the full path name where you extracted the 
    package in step 2, and click OK.
 5. Follow the instructions on the screen.
 6. Click Finish to reboot the system to complete the installation.


UNATTENDED INSTALL
------------------
Note: This is for system administrators' use only.

- Refer to the Manual Install section, and download and expand the
  files.
- At the command line, execute IPRODIFX.EXE with the /Silent option.
  (For example)
  [Path where the files were extracted]\IPRODIFX.EXE /Silent


UNINSTALL
---------
 1. Make sure to be logged on with administrative privileges.
 2. Click Start, click All Programs, select Accessories, then click .
    Run...
 3. Click Browse.
 4. Select the folder where files were extracted.
 5. Double-click IPRODIFX.EXE.
 6. At the Open line, type IPRODIFX.EXE with the /Remove option.
    (For example)
    "[Path where the files were extracted]\IPRODIFX.EXE /Remove"
 7. Click OK and follow the instructions on the screen.

 Or,
    At the command line, execute IPRODIFX.EXE with the /Remove option.
    (For example)
    [Path where the files were extracted]\IPRODIFX.EXE /Remove


DETERMINING WHICH VERSION IS INSTALLED
--------------------------------------

 1. Click Start, then click Control Panel. 
 2. Click System and Maintenance.
 3. Click System. From the left pane, click Device Manager.
 4. Click Modems. 
 5. Double-click Intel(R) PRO Wireless.
 6. Click the Driver tab.  The driver version will be displayed
