What This Package Does
-----------------------
This package provides the Ethernet driver for Windows Me users.

This release supports the following system:

   - ThinkPad i Series 1200 
     Machine Type 1161-260/250/230/210 (Ethernet Model only)
   - ThinkPad i Series 1300 
     Machine Type 1171-370/340/330/310 (Ethernet Model only)


To update the Ethernet driver, refer to the "Installation 
instructions" section below.

Installation instructions
-------------------------
Notice:

     If you find e100b.cat missing message during the installation, 
     please skip this file and continue the installation.

 Windows 98/Me
 1. Start Windows 98 or Windows Me.
 2. Extract this package onto the hard drive.
 3. Click Start, select Settings, then click Control Panel.
 4. Double click the System icon.
 5. Click the Device Manager tab at the top of the System 
    Properties window.
 6. Double click Network Adapters in the list.
 7. Click Intel 8255x-based PCI Ethernet Adapter(10/100).
 8. Click the Properties button.
 9. Click the Driver tab.
10. Click the Update Driver button.
11. Click the Next button on the Update Device Driver Wizard window.
12. Click Display a list of all the drivers in a specific location, 
    so you can select the driver you want.
13. Click the Next button.
14. Click the Have Disk button.
15. Type in C:\DRIVERS\W9X\ETHERNET.
16. Click the OK button.
17. Click Intel 8255x-based PCI Ethernet Adapter(10/100).
18. Click the OK button.
19. Click the Next button.
20. Click the Finish button.
21. Click the YES button and restart the system for the driver to 
    be effective.


Determining which version is installed
--------------------------------------
 1. Start Windows 98 or Windows Me.
 2. Click Start, slect Settings, then click Control Panel.
 3. Double click the System Icon.
 4. Click the Device Manager tab.
 5. Expand the Network adapter section.
 6. Double click the Intel 8255x-based PCI Ethernet Adapter(10/100).
 7. Click the Driver tab.
 8. Click the Driver File details button.
 9. Highlight the file C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\E100BNT5.SYS.
    The file has the File version number embedded.
    Package release version and File version relationship is as below:
