What This Package Does
----------------------
This package provides ThinkPad Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate
Firmware Update.
ThinkPad Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Firmware Update enables or
updates the Bluetooth functions of the following ThinkPad computers
integrated with Bluetooth function.

This release supports the following systems' Bluetooth models:

  - ThinkPad R60, R60e
  - ThinkPad T60, T60p
  - ThinkPad X60, X60s
  - ThinkPad Z60m, Z60t, Z61e, Z61m, Z61t

To determine if you should update the Bluetooth software, refer to the
"Summary of Changes" section.

To update the Bluetooth software, refer to the "Update Instructions"
section.

Determining which version is installed
--------------------------------------
To check the version of the software that is installed on your
ThinkPad, follow the instructions below:

1. Open My Bluetooth Places.
2. Select Bluetooth -> Advanced Configuration.
3. Select Diagnostics tab.
4. Check the Firmware Revision information.


Installation Instructions
-------------------------
Before updating the firmware, please check following:
  - Check if the AC adapter is attached to the system.
  - Check if the Bluetooth power is on.
  - Check if the "ThinkPad Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Software"
    is installed to the system.
    (It is installed in the preload image for ThinkPad.)
  - If you had never used Bluetooth, double-click My Bluetooth Places
    icon on the Desktop, wait for a while until the My Bluetooth
    Places window opens, then close the window.

To update the firmware, do following:
1. Click Start -> Run
2. Specify the firmware update software that is C:\Program
   Files\ThinkPad\Bluetooth Software\bin\BtDfuWizardP.exe
3. In "Welcome to the DFU Wizard for Bluetooth Device" window, just
   click 'Next' button.
4. In "License Agreement" window, read the End User License Agreement
   carefully, then select 'I accept the term in the license Agreement'
   and click 'Next'.
5. In "DFU Image File" window, specify the DFU file that is downloaded
   and extracted. Then click 'Next'.
6. In "Ready to Start the DFU" window, click 'Start'.
7. Firmware update will be started automatically.
   * If this is the first time updating the firmware, the system will
   install the device driver for the firmware update automatically.
   * Never stop the firmware update process or turn off Bluetooth
   until the update process is completed.
8. In "Bluetooth DFU Wizard Completed" window, click 'Finish' button
   to finish updating.
