WHAT THIS PACKAGE DOES

 This is the bundled package for ThinkVantage Access Connections for
 Microsoft Windows Vista. This package includes Access Connections and
 all the necessary drivers and utility software. The Installer in this
 package automatically detects the ThinkPad hardware configuration and
 installs ThinkVantage Access Connections and the necessary drivers at
 the same time.

 This package contains the following software:

 - ThinkVantage Access Connections for Windows Vista
     version 4.31b

 - Intel Wireless LAN (11a/b/g, 11b/g) for Windows Vista software
     version 10.6.0.46 

 - ThinkPad Wireless LAN (11a/b/g) for Windows Vista software
     version 7.1.0.90

 - ThinkPad Wireless LAN (11a/b/g/n) for Windows Vista software
     version 7.2.0.125

 - Lenovo System Interface Driver for Windows Vista
     version 1.00.0610

 - ThinkPad Power Management Driver
     version 1.41

 - ThinkPad Hotkey Features

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Notes:
- If your computer runs satisfactorily now, it may not be necessary to
  update the software. To determine if you should update the software,
  refer to the Version Information section.


Manual Install

  This section assumes to use Internet Explorer and Explorer.

  Downloading files
  1. Click once on the underlined file name with the left mouse button.
     Once this is done, a pop-up window will appear.
  2. In this pop-up window, choose (using the left mouse button) the
     directory you would like to download the file to and click the
     "Save" button. A different window will appear and the download
     will begin and complete without your assistance.
  3. Once the download has completed, there may or may not be a
     message stating that the download completed successfully.
  4. After being downloaded, the file will need to be extracted.

  Extracting files
  5. Locate the directory where the file was downloaded.
  6. Locate the file that was just downloaded and double click it
     using the left mouse button.
  7. The file will begin to extract in the directory where the
     downloaded file is located.

  Install
  8. Make sure to be logged on with administrative privileges.
  9. Open an Explorer and locate the directory where the files were
     extracted.
 10. Double-click SETUP file.
 11. Follow the instructions on the screen.
 12. Restart the computer.

   Finally delete the file saved in the step 2.


Unattended Install

  Note: This is for system administrators' use only.

- Refer to the Manual Install section, and download and expand the
  files.
- At the command line, execute SETUP.EXE with the -S -SMS options.
  (For example)
  [Path where the files were extracted]\SETUP.EXE /S
