Roadmap
-------

There are several works in progress around the Psycle project. This is a brief
summary of what can be expected:

* QPsycle: This project is in alpha state, it will become the Linux reference
for Psycle (aside of Psycle in Wine which has worked quite well so far).
It will not be like Psycle but will try to maintain the spirit of it.
Also the source code of QPsycle and Psycle will share many common parts so
that the developers can work cooperatively.

* Psycle 1.8: One more Psycle 1.8 could be expected (1.8.6) that would contain
bugfixes and finish some incomplete features (most notably, Sampulse).

* Psycle 1.9/2.0: Psycle 1.8.5 has become the new 1.9 branch, from which the
development will continue. The first task will be to incorporate QPsycle's
Psycle-core engine and improve upon it. Some new features are to be expected,
like Multi-IO audio, new plugin formats (LADSPA, others?), a new Fileformat
(PSY4) based on .xml and binary compressed data, and the ability to have a
separated library to make again a psycle player.
