From the DOS prompt you can start DOS Summary one of two ways:

d> DOSSUM or d> DOSSUM command

If you start without a command you will be presented with a menu from
which you can choose to find a command alphabetically or grouped by
function. From the menu you pick the command you wish to see
summarized; from that command you can alphabetically sequence through
all DOS commands or return to the page you last left. Pressing
F9 or F10 at any screen exits the program.

If you start with a DOS command as a parameter DOS Summary will
start and show you that command summary. You may then exit, move
through screens, or go to a menu. If you only enter a partial
command, DOS Summary will show you the first command which matches
that partial command (e.g. DOSSUM SE will show you the first command
which starts with the letters "SE").

There are other options (e.g. ability to make DOS Summary a resident
program which can be called from other programs). Please see the
   detailed Program Help pages.

The tutorial text contains information in a format that allows you
to jump from topic to topic as necessary. This type of presentation
is called hypertext. Any item displayed in reverse video is a hypertext
link you can jump to. Use the arrow keys, spacebar, or your mouse to
highlight a link, then press Enter or your left mouse button to jump
to that topic. When you jump to another topic, pressing ESCape,
Backspace, or your right mouse button will return you to the
   previously-viewed page.

Press F1 for a summary of keystroke and mouse commands.

   Some common solutions...

Screen colors can be changed by any user. It's possible that you have
a copy another user has changed but on your system the colors do not
display well. Before contacting SSI or Computer Knowledge press F7 and
experiment with colors if the screen does not display correctly.

Pressing F4 sends the current page to LPT1 and the printer attached to
that port. If your printer is attached to a different port the F4 print
function will not work for you.

The DOSSUM.EXE file and associated DOSSUM.H! manual file should be on
a hard disk, in the same directory, and that directory should be the
default directory for best operation. DOS Summary will run from a floppy
disk however it will be slow and an error will occur if you remove the
floppy disk from the drive when the program is running.
