DESCRIPTION:   This release provides updated firmware for the latest
               maintenance releases of the Hewlett-Packard Integrated
               Lights-Out Management Controller.  This Softpaq is used
               for remote iLO firmware update via the iLO web-based 
               interface or the iLO XML scripting process.  

New features -

1.  Added the ability to upgrade an evaluation license using and XML command.

2.  New XML tags have been added to the SERVER_INFO command block
    to support server power options available in iLO.  

Problems fixed from last release -

1.  Slow or non-responsive Remote Console keyboard on BL40p G1 servers running 
    1.41, 1.42, or 1.50 iLO firmware has been fixed.

2.  The XML command <RACK_AUTO_PWR> no longer reports a syntax error.

2.  Passthrough Installation:

    In order to access Terminal Services through iLO, the Terminal Services
    Passthrough service and the iLO Management Interface Driver for 
    Windows 2000 / Windows Server 2003 must be installed on the server containing 
    the iLO. The service is available as a Smart Component on <<www.hp.com>>.  The iLO 
    driver is available as a Smart Components on <<www.hp.com>> and on the HP 
    SmartStart CD. It is also part of the ProLiant Support Pack for Microsoft 
    Windows Server 2003 and Microsoft Windows 2000.

    Install the driver first and then the service. If the service is already
    installed, then it must be manually restarted or the server rebooted once
    the driver is installed. To install the service, launch its component installer
    and follow the directions in the installation wizard. If installation is through
    iLO remote console and if Terminal Services passthrough is set to automatic, 
    then Terminal Services will be launched when the installation is complete.
    On Windows 2000, the Terminal Services server must be installed. This is done 
    through the Control Panel using Add or Remove Programs. On Windows Server 2003,
    you may instead turn on Remote Desktop sharing by selecting the Remote tab     
    under My Computer and Properties.

    On a pre-Windows XP client, the Terminal Services client must be installed.
    This is done by generating installation diskettes from a Terminal Services 
    server installation or by downloading the client from the Microsoft web site. 
    On Windows XP, Remote Desktop Connection is built in. Microsoft's license 
    requirements must be complied with and are the same as when connecting through
    the server's NIC. For instance, when set for administrative access, Terminal 
    Services will not allow more than two connections regardless of whether the 
    connections are through the server's NIC or iLO or both. Errors during 
    installation and during execution of the passthrough service will be logged
    in the server's Application Event Log. The passthrough service may be removed
    using Add or Remove Programs in the Control Panel.

3.  The new XML tags include <PRESS_PWR_BTN/>, <HOLD_PWR_BTN/>, <COLD_BOOT_SERVER/>, 
    <WARM_BOOT_SERVER/>.  
    An example script to press the power button is as follows:

HOW TO USE:

1.  Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive and change to
    that directory.  The file that is downloaded is SP25739.EXE.

2.  From that drive and directory, execute the SoftPaq file:

SP25739 [ENTER]

3.  After the firmware image is extracted (ILO151.BIN), you may delete
    the downloaded file SP25739.EXE if you wish.

4.  Log in to Integrated Lights-Out with a user ID that has the "Configure
    iLO Settings" privilege.

5.  Select "Upgrade iLO Firmware" from the "Administration" tab.

6.  Send the firmware image (ILO151.BIN) to iLO.  Do not interrupt the
    upgrade process.
