Installation instructions for MarkVision snap-in to NetView/6000       12/22/95


make directory /usr/lpp/mv4nv/
copy mv4nv.tar to /usr/lpp/mv4nv/
run: tar -xvf mv4nv.tar
change directory to /usr/lpp/mv4nv
run ./mvsetup
see /usr/lpp/mv4nv/mvsetup.log for installation results


At this point, you can run markvision by selecting symbol and pressing 
MarkVision on toolbar


for each printer you want to monitor:
        select symbol
        select "tools" pulldown
        select "MIB browser - snmp"
        select "private, enterprises, lexmark, adapter, lextrap, 
                lextrapDestTable, lextrapDestEntry, LextrapDestIPAddr"
        press  "Start Query"
        select one of the numbers from "MIB Values"
        type IP address of system running NV6000 into "SNMP Set Value" and 
                press "Set"
	reselect "LextrapDestMask"
	press "Start Query"
        select the same number as above from "MIB Values"
        type "511" into "SNMP Set Value" and press "Set" to get all traps
               or see file "lexmark1.mib" for valid values for trap mask


For each symbol that you want to have launch markvision:
        right click on symbol
        choose edit, modify, symbol
        change behavior from explode to execute
        choose application action of "MarkVison"
        choose Target Objects -  press add - OK - OK
        

You can remove Markvision snap-in for NetView/6000 by running 
	/usr/lpp/mv4nv/mvdeinstall

A log file /usr/lpp/mv4nv/mvdeinstall.log is created
