Source of "Supermarket" intro (by Aron Gombas)

What the hell is it?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 As you can see, I have released the source of my intro titled "Supermarket"
(it is a freaky title, isn't it?), which won the 64K intro competition at
Ragest'98 (or Rage'98 or Scenest-Rage'98 or whatever ya want), the biggest
party so far held in Hungary. Look for the cnt-mrkt.zip archive at the known
servers (ftp://demo.cat.hu for example) to watch that!
Will the author buy a new CPU for me, if his code destroys my current one?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 No. Use the whole crap AT YOUR OWN RISK. But the event above occurs only once
in a blue moon! ;)

What does this source contain?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 The code is minimal in every aspects (because of the constraints of the compo):
 - a basic VESA video engine
 - a tiny raytracing engine (which traces planes, cylinders and spheres)
 - a great minimal math library (which rocks and was coded by the cubic team)
 - a very simple texture "compressor" (a downscaler or whatever)
 - some smaller bitmap effects
 To tell you the truth, it is not much, but in the near future I will release
the sources of my greatest success intro, which will contain much more interes-
ting stuffs. I promise! ;) And never forget: it was coded in the evenings of
the weeks before the party, beside coding a database management system all day
long!
Can I understand the code?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 Yes, you will!!! It is really simple and on the other hand, it is weel-
structured and even well-commented in Hungarian! You will love it. ;)

Which software were used to compile the intro?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 Turbo Assembler 3.1 and Watcom C++ 10.0, as far, as I can remember. You can
learn how to write an intro with these tools - without too much unnecessary
work: you can write the higher level routines in C! This spares a lot of time,
you can make new stuffs!
Who can I contact the author?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 Via e-mail, ofcoz. My current email address is gombasa@almos.vein.hu, but I am
currently graduating, so from the beginning of the summer, you should rather
use aron@scene-hu.com (thanks for the sysop guys, anyway!). It will work for a
long time (at least I hope).
 Comments are welcomed, but please don't send messages like "your XYZ routine
is fucking slow and you are lame", because I REALLY DO NOT CARE! If you want to
send me some beer or food or great trip-hop CD's or anything, I won't say no!

 Try to keep the spirit of the scene!
