A custom engine is required to play this map: it's too big for normal Quake. I originally built this map as one huge whole, but technical limitations and design choices at the time meant I split it into two separate maps, becoming Soe2m4: Whispers in Darkness and Soe2m5: The Morbid Manse. However, Quake editing has advanced even more in the past couple years and now the map is fully playable in its original monolithic form. aguirRe fixed it up, added some weaponry, improved the lighting and so forth, the final result being a highly challenging monster map with hundreds of enemies. Just put coven.bsp in quake\soe\maps then start up Quake, Quake.exe (or suitable replacement) -game soe +skill (0-3) +map coven Enjoy the carnage.
