64HDD Install Information

<<<LFNFILES 1.55 is required for 64HDD v0.6a3 and higher>>>

Code is being developed by Nicholas Coplin, ncoplin@lycos.com

1) Copy the ZIP to the \ directory of the drive you wish it to be installed
2) Change to this location, eg:  c: {enter}, cd\ {enter}
3) PKUNZIP -d 64HDD.ZIP
4) A directory \64HDD will be created, don't forget the "-d" or else you'll
end up with all the files in "\"
5) Modify the PATH statement to include the directory which contains the
   64HDD EXE files, normally c:\64hdd

IMPORTANT!!!
6) The directory C:\64HDD\SYSTEM is required by default, however it may be
changed by using the "+sysdir" command line option. Write access is
required for this directory. Operating speed may be improved by using a
   RAMDISK for this directory.
7) In order to use LongFileNames in MSDOS the LFN utilities need to be
installed. The tools supplied in LFNFILES.ZIP must be either unzipped
using a long file name program such as WinZip 6 or 7. Alternatetively
the tools may be unzipped using DOS PKUNZIP, delete the LFN$$$16.$$$ file,
and then the LFN$$$16CHAR$LFN.$$$ master file must be moved to the 64HDD
system using the LCOPY utility. 64HDD copies this master file when it
creates new files (if started with -lfn). The LFN utilities create Win95
   compatible files.
IMPORTANT: The master file must be accurately created so as to not cause
problems with 64HDD generated LFNs. See manual for notes about how to
   correctly delete LFN files.

8) CD-Audio features require installation of the CD-AUDIO.ZIP files

9) PWR-LOAD features require installation of the PWR-LOAD.ZIP files
