INSTALLATION

To install these updated files, right click on the A3D.INF file and choose
Install. This will copy the A3D.VXD, A3D.DLL, and A3DSPLSH.EXE files over
to their proper folders, as well as enter some information into your Registry.

A3D 2.0 titles keep a copy of the A3DAPI.DLL in their local game folder; this
provides for each game to have a customizable version of the file to address
the needs of the developer and the game. This install will not copy over the
file manually, so you should copy the A3DAPI.DLL file into the game folders
where you would like to update this file. See the Compatibility section at
the end of this document for the games tested with this version of A3DAPI.DLL.

COMPATIBILITY

The A3DAPI.DLL file has currently been tested with the following A3D 2.0 games:

	Half Life
	Half Life: Day One
	Motorhead
	Heretic II (Enhancement Pack)

The A3DAPI.DLL file has currently not been tested with the following A3D 2.0
titles:

	Recoil
	A3D 2.0 Rooms Demo

While we believe that there should be no problems using this file with those
titles, we have not thoroughly tested it. It is suggested you do not update
the A3DAPI.DLL file for these titles at this time.
