Sending files with ConfigFree

You can send the files easily by using wired, wireless LAN and Bluetooth. There are the following 5 methods:

1.Send a file with SUMMIT
2.Send a file with right click
3.Send a file with Bluetooth radar
4.Send a file with ConfigFree Launcher (Wireless LAN)
5.Send a file with ConfigFree Launcher (Bluetooth)
6.Protect with a password



1 Send the file with SUMMIT

Please refer to "Using SUMMIT"

2 Send a file with right click


By selecting a file using  Windows Explorer and right clicking,  the file can be sent easily using wired or wireless LAN.

Note:  The ConfigFree Launcher must be active.




If you right click a file from Explorer, etc. the menu will appear with the "Send to network device" option. Select the following operation.
"Send to network device" -> "Search other member"
Then, the file send application starts.
Select the send member, and click the send button. Then the file is sent.



The member that the file is sent to is now registered in the menu (The maximum number of members that can be registered is 3). You can select the registered member from the menu the next time you want to send a file.

Note:
Transmitted data can be protected with a password (please refer to Protect with a password for details).


3 Send a file with Bluetooth radar

Bluetooth radar can transmit a file to another Bluetooth device.

Select the file to be sent. Drag the file and drop on the Bluetooth device displayed on the Bluetooth radar display.



The Bluetooth receive window will appear on the receive side.
The file can now be saved.

Note:
Bluetooth file reception action differs depending on the  Bluetooth device.  Please refer to the user manual for the Bluetooth device for details.


When you send a file using Bluetooth, a password cannot be used.
4 Send a file with ConfigFree Launcher (Wireless LAN)


ConfigFree Launcher (Wireless LAN) can transmit files to another member.



Select the  file to be sent.  Drag the file and drop on the Wireless LAN icon in the ConfigFree launcher.
The Wireless File Transfer program starts.  Select the member(s) to send the file to and click the "Send" button.

The receive file icon in the ConfigFree launcher will appear on the receive side.
Click the receive file icon on the receive side. Then, the file can be received or canceled.

Note:
Transmitted data can be protected with a password (please refer to Protect with a password for details).


5 Send a file with ConfigFree Launcher (Bluetooth)

ConfigFree Launcher (Bluetooth) can transmit files to the member.


Select the file to be sent.  Drag the file and drop on the Bluetooth icon in the ConfigFree launcher.
The Wireless File Transfer program starts.  Select the  device and click the Send button.

The receive dialog will appear on the  receive side. The file can now be saved.

Note:
Bluetooth file reception action differs depending on the Bluetooth device.  Please refer to the user manual for the  Bluetooth device for details.



When you send a file using Bluetooth, a password cannot be used.


6 Protect with a password

The file sent by SUMMIT can be sent with a password.
In order to receive the file protected by a password, the member who receives the file has to input the correct password.



When you send a file, the password input screen is displayed.
When you want to use a password, input a password here.

Note
Password protection is not available in version 5.00.
When you communicate with another PC using ConfigFree version 5.00, please communicate without setting up a password.
